1 Month

Someone is cheering about being 1 month old.

It's really so exciting, she can hardly stand it...

Yes, technically, she is 1 month and 4 days old today, but I just got her monthly shirt stickers in the mail.  So, we had to do a little photo shoot today.

This one is my favorite.  I can remember a picture of me on a pontoon boat when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old with this same crooked smile.

What is happening at the ripe-old age of 1 month?

She is more alert, smiling, and even starting to coo a little with the sound "ahh."
She has slept 6.5 hours straight for the past 2 nights. She wakes to eat, then sleeps again for 2-3 more hours.
She then takes a long morning nap, which is usually at least 2 hours, but can be up to 3-4 hours.  This is the best time for me to get on my treadmill, shower, and/or run errands.  She loves sleeping in the car seat, so she sleeps right through trips to Walmart, the mall, you name it...she couldn't tell you where she's been.
She likes mommy's singing (it took 29 years and giving birth to her, but I finally found someone who likes my singing).
She loves to snuggle after eating.
She loves to lay on daddy's chest.
She loves staring at the ceiling fan.
She loves her little monkey rattle.
She loves getting her hair washed
She's not a big fan of tummy time, but she' works really hard and is lifting her head well.
She hates changing clothes.
She only cries when she's tired or hungry.
Her hair is growing longer.
Her eyes are growing browner.
She is growing heavier and longer.  She is now just over 10lbs and has outgrown almost all of her newborn clothes.  She is now wearing 0-3 month clothes and will probably be in size 1 diapers by next week.

  1. Thanks for all of the details about our special grand baby! We miss her and this info helps us stay somewhat connected to her. Can't wait to hold and kiss that sweet face! Love, nana rose
